Acrylic Painting (previously Saturday Painting)
Unleash your creativity and embark on a colourful journey into the world of painting with our Saturday "Acrylic Painting" class - perfect for Beginners and Experienced painters.
Whether you're a complete novice or simply looking to refine your skills, this course is designed to provide you with a solid foundation in painting techniques and artistic expression.
You will be exposed to contemporary art marking through different techniques and learn how colour, light and composition can enhance your work in a number of ways. We will look at how to display your work and how to painting economically. Be inspired, develop your painting skills and increase your confidence to continue painting.
For Beginners, for the first week:
A4 canvas or canvas board ( an inexpensive one)
Flat brush size 6, 10, 12
Round brush size 6, 10, 12
Acrylic paints (starter set)
1 HB pencil, eraser and A4 Drawing pad
We will discuss further materials in the first lesson.
Advanced students: please bring your own painting materials, canvas and an a few images you'd like to paint.
About your tutor:
Cheree Connolly is an artist living and working in Sydney. After attending the Hornsby Ku-ring Gai Community College herself she has completed a Diploma of Fine Art, studied in Italy, Florence and graduated from the National Art school in Sydney with a Bachelor of Fine Art in 2017. She has a broad knowledge of art history including painting, drawing and print making. This gives her the ability to enable students to paint in many different styles and develop in their art practice.
