Dogs Matter Separation Anxiety Workshop

Is your dog experiencing separation anxiety? Is your dog having a meltdown when you leave, barking, chewing, scratching walls, trying to escape.?This Dogs Matter course is designed to help you understand Separation Anxiety and Other Dog Stressors so that you can help your dog feel safe and better manage situations that arise.

Discover the secrets to understanding and solving dog problems. Designed for first-time dog owners and those facing canine issues, this course will equip you with the knowledge to connect with your dog and resolve issues related to separation anxiety and other dog stressors. No prior experience needed!

We will look at body language, triggers, ways to help your dog better manage when left alone or when in other stressful situations. We will look at common dog issues and strategies for change and improvement. Sometimes the smallest of actions can make big differences.

The course will cover important information all dog owners need to be aware of:

  • What dogs need and how they learn
  • Positive reinforcement
  • Recognising the dog’s body language
  • Meeting your dogs physical and mental needs to better connect with your dog
  • Problem solving -separation anxiety and other stressors
  • Dog activities

 Delve into the fascinating world of dog behaviour to help you gain a deep understanding of your dog’s physical and mental needs and to enhance the bond between you and your canine companion..

We will provide real-life examples and promise to include adorable dog pictures!

By the end of this workshop you will have learnt about

  • Understand why difficult behaviour patterns occur
  • Developing positive and effective dog training techniques
  • Strategies for solving common dog behaviours such as separation anxiety, and other stressors

Entry requirements

Students should either have a dog or have owned a dog prior with an interest in learning more about dogs in general.

Completion of the Pre-Questionnaire provided by the college if possible before the commencement of the workshop.
