Join us for a free community event focused on employment support and pathways for people with a challenge or disabilities. Hear from expert speakers and organisations (see below) who offer tailored pathways to employment through counselling, training, and supported work environments. A representative from Services Australia will also be available to answer questions and provide brochures on payment and service. Whether you're a person with a challenge or disability, a parent/caregiver, a school careers counsellor or a service provider, this event offers valuable insights and resources to help navigate the journey to meaningful employment.

We are proudly delivering projects for the Peer Support and Capacity Building (PSCB) grant for the NDIS.
Speakers:
Reframe Careers: Specialising in 1:1 career counselling / vocational counselling, Reframe Careers supports NDIS participants, neurodivergent individuals, and those recovering from severe injury. Their strengths-based, neuro-affirming approach helps young adults with self-discovery, job discovery, exploration of career pathways, development personalised plans, and connections with therapists, employers, and employment services.
Jigsaw: At Jigsaw, we’re committed to creating a world where people with disability are fully included in the workforce. We offer an innovative pathway that combines skills-based training in a real workplace with ongoing support throughout each trainee’s journey. Our holistic, person-centred approach teaches essential work-readiness skills and continues as trainees transition into mainstream jobs. With over 63% of Jigsaw trainees remaining employed after their first year, compared to the national average of around 26% in the Commonwealth Government’s Disability Employment Services program, we believe people prepare best for work through work. Our training builds core skills every employer values, such as teamwork and communication, paired with practical workplace experience that connects directly to real job requirements, creating a clear and confident pathway to a rewarding career.
Breakthru: Breakthru's School Leaver Employment Support (SLES) Program is a tailored initiative designed to help young people with disability transition from school into meaningful employment. Breakthru provides a personalised and supportive pathway to employment through individualised care plans that reflect the participant’s goals and strengths. They work on skills development in key areas and help participants explore different employment pathways. Breakthru’s Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) Program is a personalised initiative designed to support people with disability, injury, or health conditions in achieving meaningful employment. Through individualised career plans that reflect each participant’s strengths and aspirations, Breakthru provides a supportive pathway to long-term job success.
