August 23: 2pm to 4pm: Threads of Colour - Kinusaiga Inspired Making - Explore the beautiful Japanese-inspired technique of Kinusaiga using fabric, colour and pattern. Participants will create their own design by layering fabric into a prepared foam base, experimenting with texture and composition to make a unique framed artwork to take home.
September 6: 10am to 12pm: Noticing the Unnoticed - Slow down and look closely at the colours, shapes and small details often missed in everyday surroundings. Through gentle watercolour activities and simple colour theory, participants will explore how colours connect, shift and appear in the world around them, creating a small keepsake inspired by observation and curiosity.
September 13: 10am to 12pm: Pieces of My Day - Use paper, images, colour, texture and collected fragments to create a visual journal page. This workshop invites participants to reflect on moments, colours and events arranging them into a personal mixed-media artwork that tells a story.
September 27: 10am to 12pm: Drawing from the Everyday - Explore simple drawing and creative exercises designed to loosen up your hand, eye and imagination. Using everyday objects and playful prompts, participants will build confidence with mark-making, observation and expressive drawing.
