Our highly regarded and experienced Art Tutor, Jan Windus, will show you how relatively easy it is to create any quality artwork yourself. In the process you will discover the effective use of colour, light, composition and a variety of techniques. Jan is a motivating teacher as well as an exhibiting and international artist.

What to Bring:
Please choose your own medium – acrylics or pastels .
- ACRYLIC PAINTING- An A3 canvas pad for Acrylics (not Monmartre)
- 1 small jar of gesso, opaque undercoat (optional)
- Long stemmed, hog hair brushes - a set of flat as well as a set of round - Nos. 1,3,5,7,10.
- Tubes of acrylic paints(ATELIER-Interactive) in series 1,2 or 3 (series 1 is the least expensive, the series 4,5, & 6 are very expensive). You will need the following colours: - Black, White, Light yellow, Brilliant Magenta, Pthalo Blue and Cerulean Blue 1
- HB pencil -Steadler Eraser
- mixing plate
- Cotton rags and jars of water.

- PASTEL DRAWING- An A3 white pastel pad - Mont Martre not recommended -
- A set of soft pastels (preferably a box of 24)
- A couple of paper stumps for smudging and special effects
- An HB pencil and a sharpener
- Some very fine sandpaper or emery boards
- Some cotton based rags (old tea towels are ideal)
